Go in settings , Windows Update, Advanced Options, Recovery and In the Advanced startup part click Restart Now
While in the advanced startup options, select Troubleshoot, Advanced options and then, Command Prompt
If required, select Administrative account and enter password
In the command prompt type the following:
c:
cd c:\windows\system32\drivers
ren sophosed.sys sophosed.sys.old
exit
Continue with computer restart to get back in Windows
Once back in Windows, open the Registry
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sophos MCS Agent and set value of Start to 0x00000004
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sophos Endpoint Defense\TamperProtection\Services and under every subkey in this location, set the Value data of Protected to 0
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sophos Endpoint Defense\TamperProtection\Config and set the Value data of SEDEnabled to 0
Restart your computer and you should now be able to uninstall the Sophos agent through the Add Remove programms
